Very few entertainers have reached the level of success and fame in Hollywood that Idris Elba enjoys today. But this A-lister is more than just a talented actor. Yes, he has starred in some of the biggest blockbuster movies like "100 Streets," and "Thor: Ragnarok", but Elba is a master of many other talents that haven't been showcased on the big screen. Besides his career as a celebrated thespian in Hollywood, he has also tried his hand at directing films. Idris is an entrepreneur who has invested his millions into several businesses. Despite spending a lot of time at movie locations, he doesn’t allow his businesses to suffer.  Idris is the owner of Green Door, a TV and movie production company. He also has a clothing partnership with Japanese fashion giant, Superdry.  He is a musician and DJ, and owns 7Wallace, a record label too.

The actor revealed that he only invests in businesses that are interesting and challenging to him. Idris says he is still very much on the learning curve of entrepreneurship but he is not afraid to make mistakes. What he does is to study the mistakes that others have made and learn from them.
