In 2018, the myth surrounding the once-popular city of Atlantis was uncovered in a breathtaking film about a secret underwater kingdom. We called it a myth because it is a story based on a science fiction movie, The Aquaman. The movie featured Jason Momoa who had gained fame from his role as the chieftain of Dothraki khalasar, winning the hearts of Game of Thrones fans around the world.

Momoa may not have been an actor if designer Takeo Kobayashi didn’t discover his modeling skills in 1998.  At the age of 19, he starred as Jason loane in the drama series Baywatch Hawaii. He was also featured in the series Stargate Atlantis for four years.

Did we tell you that the actor won Hawaii’s Model of the Year award when he was 20? Yeah, he did and went on to host Miss Teen Hawaii beauty pageant. However, Momoa became an international star for his role in Game of Thrones.

Momoa studied Marine Biology, a course that prepared him for his role in water-based movies. He married Lisa Boney in 2017 and they have an eleven years old daughter, Lola and nine-year-old son, Nakoa-Wolf. Momoa has a scar on his brow, which is a notable feature when you first meet him. He got the scar in 2008 after a beer glass hit his face, resulting in facial reconstruction surgery.
